Power & the Glory saw Saxon attempting to break into the American market, featuring a more polished sound tailored to appeal to a broader audience. Crusader is known for its epic title track and continued Saxon’s exploration of more commercial sounds. It reached number 18 on the UK Albums Chart. The album features a mix of hard rock and heavy metal with accessible hooks, aiming to maintain their presence both in the UK and overseas markets.
