Labor Day in the US will be observed on Monday, September 2 – a federal holiday that celebrates and honours America’s workforce – and it’s also a day where many of the major online retailers across the country hold sales on just about everything you can imagine – and that includes CD, vinyl and vinyl box set deals.

But before Labor Day officially takes place, there are still some awesome deals on CDs and vinyl box sets that you can grab right now – including 28% off the deluxe edition of Metallica’s Black album – down from $239.98 to $171.86 at Amazon.

It’s spread across 30 discs and features a remaster on 180g double LP and CD, a Sad But True picture disc, 3 live LPs, 14 CDs and six DVDs which manage to cram in live cuts, mixes and demos. There’s also a 120-page hardback book , guitar picks, tour laminates and more.

Check below for my pick of the top Labor Day deals on CDs, vinyl and vinyl box sets.
